Autumn & Spencer
Don’t think I’ll be getting over this one any time soon. 😱
I do want to say from the get-go that this is not a real elopement. Autumn and Spencer were already married and were kind enough to model for me in the unbeatable Yosemite Valley. I wouldn’t call it a full-on “styled shoot,” though, because it was a collaboration only between me and Autumn and we did not seek any other vendors. Autumn did her own hair and makeup (perfectly, I might add), and she and her mom made this AMAZING bouquet! I was blown away by it, seriously. She bought her dress from Vici and Spencer’s suit from Ryan Seacrest Distinction. Needless to say, I could not have pulled this off without Autumn’s help and enthusiasm. A million thanks to you, Autumn!!! And obviously Spencer, too. 😘
Well anyway. Yosemite. How bout that. It’s quite possibly the most amazing place I’ve ever been/seen, and I only saw a teeny fraction of it for a few hours. In any event, this shoot made a whole bunch of dreams come true for me. Everything came together perfectly. My wonderful models and their outfits/flowers, the amazing fall colors, the jaw-dropping sunset playing off the rocks, the perfect fallen log pedestal in the field. Sentinel Rock standing guard over their “ceremony” and Half Dome watching them dance in the valley. And just add to that the wonder of seeing Yosemite for the first time. I’ll never forget this day. It really showed me the direction I want my career to go; the direction it COULD go if I really put my mind to it. It’s going to happen, y’all. I’m determined.
